“A few years ago, when a potential PTA director’s series was first mentioned, I immediately had my hand up for this one. Everything about There Will Be Blood  is precisely my cup of tea - the time period, the sweeping desolation of the landscape, the soundtrack, Daniel Day-Lewis, etc. I didn’t immediately come to the idea of an over-sized stock certificate but the more thought that went into it the more perfect it seemed as a visual embodiment of the film.

I’ve also wanted to go all-in on something resembling a 19th century engraved note for quite some time so this seemed like as good an excuse as any. All told I spent over 100 hours on the illustration - it’s still only about half as involved as I think it should be but after 6 weeks I felt like it needed to be put to bed. .”

In the last month or so I’ve totally overhaul my pedal set up. Today I capped it off by building myself a new pedalboard. All pine construction with pedaltrain style slat top construction to stash cables underneath. Shit’s fancy.

As for the signal chain: Ernie Ball VP Jr, E-H LPB-1, Whiteface Rat, Möbius, Timeline, Space. Disaster Area Amps DMC-6 midi controller with Moog expression pedal to control the Strymon and Eventide pedals.

I’ve only begun scratching the surface on the things this board is going to be able to do. Time to get weird.

David and I jammed tonight on some somewhat stonery garage jams I’ve been working on. I played through this. It was loud.

The sex is strong with this one.

This is very similar to what my EGC will be when it arrives in the next couple of months, minus the clear, plus a pickup and plus a Brent Hinds tremolo.
